A delegation led by the Chairperson of the Board and Rector of Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, Saule Sagintayeva, visited Karaganda Mining and Industrial College to familiarize themselves with its material and technical resources and educational process. The delegation included Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Bekbolat Nusipbekov; Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization, Timur Kanapiyanov; Executive Director, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Aristotel Isagulov; Director of the College of Innovative Technologies, Nurbibi Smagulova; Head of the Department of Mineral Deposit Development, Askar Imashev; and Director of the Youth Policy Department, Gulden Adamova.
The delegation was welcomed by the college’s director, Nurlan Abdenov, who conducted a tour of the institution, introducing them to the educational process, opportunities for industrial internships, and the conditions created for students. The delegation visited the mining museum, dedicated to the history of the Karaganda coal basin, and learned about the achievements of the college’s graduates. They also explored the training mine, designed as a model of a mining complex, where students demonstrated their practical skills. Additionally, they were introduced to modern laboratories, including a virtual welding station.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to improve the quality of technical education, train specialists for the mining and welding industries, and expand career guidance for graduates. The importance of strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and enhancing experience exchange in industrial training was emphasized. Representatives of both institutions expressed their readiness to implement joint projects and collaborate in training highly qualified professionals.
This meeting marked an important step in strengthening partnerships in technical and vocational education and gave new momentum to the preparation of skilled personnel for the region’s mining industry.
