As part of his working visit to Karaganda, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, attended the official opening of the “Meyirim” Youth Health Center at Saginov Technical University. Now, medical assistance has become even more accessible for university staff and students, allowing young people to receive free health consultations and seek medical care if needed.
The establishment of the center was made possible with the support of the Karaganda Regional Health Department, enabling the provision of medical services within the university premises.
The new medical center is equipped with modern technology and staffed by qualified healthcare professionals. It offers medical consultations, preventive and treatment services, and psychological support.
After reviewing the center’s operations, Sayasat Nurbek praised the initiative, emphasizing that similar projects should be implemented in universities across the country.
“Student health directly impacts the quality of their education. Therefore, opening medical centers within universities is an important step towards improving the quality of life for young people,” the minister stated.
The “Meyirim” Health Center is open to all university staff and students.
