For the first time in the history of Tashkent State Transport University, a foreign scientist, a scientist at #SaginovTechnicalUniversity, became the scientific supervisor of a doctoral student.

Candidate of Technical Sciences, Acting Professor of the Department of Industrial Transport, Abylkas Saginov Oyum Balabayev, was approved by the Academic Council of Tashkent State Transport University (TSTrU, Uzbekistan) as a supervisor for 1st-year doctoral student Parakhat Nurullayev.

For the first time in the history of TSTU, a representative of a foreign university was officially appointed a doctoral student’s supervisor, and not just a foreign consultant. The doctoral candidate’s dissertation topic is aimed at improving the technology of freight transportation in railway transport.

Today, TSTU trains about 150 PhD students, more than 20,000 undergraduates and students. Scientists and young researchers of Tashkent State Transport University are actively involved in scientific projects and developments of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, namely: in Grant financing projects from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (they are foreign executors of grant AP14869550); in state budget projects from the Akimat of Karaganda region (they are foreign consultants). Based on joint research, 3 patents were obtained, 2 monographs and articles were published in highly rated journals included in the Scopus and CA databases.

This mutually beneficial cooperation is successfully developing and strengthening.
