At the beginning of the second decade of December, in Astana the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in adult jiu-jitsu wrestling started.
The tournament brought together the best of the best athletes from all over Kazakhstan. Among them were students of the Abylkas Saginov University: Zhiger Almatai (C-23-1), who competed in the 77 kg weight category, and Asylmurat Sagyndyk (AiU-23-1) – competed in the 94 kg weight category.
Both of our students had four fights each. And in all four of them, each of them won convincing victories. Thus, having been awarded the title of national champions, and at the same time, having received licenses to participate in the Asian and World championships!
We sincerely congratulate our athletes on their victory! We wish them success in the upcoming competitions on the world stage!
