Students of the Abylkas Saginov University were told about corruption and ways to combat it


On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, the leadership of the Abylkas Saginov University decided to hold a forum for students to discuss and resolve issues related to anti-corruption issues.

The purpose of the forum is to promote the formation of a personality who is endowed with knowledge about the danger posed by corruption for the welfare of society and the security of the state, and the active involvement of young people in the formation of an anti-corruption culture.

Representatives of the Akimat, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Department of the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Karaganda region, veterans and other organizations of the region acted as experts to the youth. Among them: Botagoz Akhmetova – speaker of the Antikor educational pool, member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, certified specialist in the implementation of the anti-corruption standard; Vasily Oleinik – compliance officer of the E. A. Buketov KarU, Kairulla Kyzyrov – Chairman of the Council for Spiritual and moral education of the Abylkas Saginov KTU; Murat Kadekov – Deputy Chairman of the Council of Veterans of the Kazybek bi district; Gulsara Kerimzhanova – Prosecutor of the Kazybek bi Prosecutor’s Office; Dias Saidashev – the chief specialist of the state Legal Department of the Akimat of the city of Karaganda.

At the forum, for students there was revealed the theme of recognizing corruption and actions in detecting cases of corruption.

“This event reveals what corruption is, forms a negative attitude towards this malicious phenomenon; develops legal awareness and an active civic position, as well as increases the level of legal culture”, the participants of the meeting noted.
