Undergraduate student from Kazakhstan won bronze at the International Business Process Automation Championship


Ruslan Kabargin, a second-year graduate student of the educational program “Information Systems” of the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, took part in the prestigious international championship “Professionals”, which was held in St. Petersburg (Russia).

The “Professionals” Championship is aimed at supporting talented young professionals and their employment in leading global companies. The final of the championship, which took place on November 26-30, was attended by over 900 contestants from most regions of Russia, CIS countries and far abroad. On the basis of the Institute for the Development of Professional Education, competitions were held in a number of modern and popular areas, including genomic engineering, quantum technologies, information security, etc. The winners and prize-winners secured internships in the largest companies in the country, cash prizes and a chance to get a dream job. The championship was organized by the Ministry of Education of Russia and the Government of St. Petersburg.

As part of the championship, Ruslan competed within the competence “Automation of business processes”. The main task of the participants was to solve the competitive task of automating the business process of the enterprise. The work was carried out on the 1C platform: Management of a small company (MSC) 3.0, which required not only a deep understanding of 1C tools, but also the ability quickly to develop optimal solutions under strict time limitations.

“The championship was organized at a high level, which allowed us to focus on completing the task and fully immerse ourselves in the process. The atmosphere of the competition, a competent approach and interesting tasks increased motivation and helped me to reveal my abilities”, Ruslan shared his impression after the competition.

Among the strongest participants from different countries (Russia, Belarus, the Philippines, Ecuador) Ruslan managed to achieve significant success – he took the honorable third place. This result not only confirmed his professional skills, but also became an important step in his career development in the field of business process automation.

After completing his Master’s degree, Ruslan plans to continue his career at 1C: Franchising Karaganda, one of the leading partners of 1C in Kazakhstan. The company, which is a member of the Abylkas Saginov KTU Corporate University, specializes in business process automation, which ideally corresponds to the professional interests and experience of a young specialist.
