On July 1, 2024, the scientific and innovative hackathon “Scientific and technological development of a metallurgical enterprise” started. It is being held for the first time in Kazakhstan on the Kazakhmys Corporation LLP platform together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat spoke at the opening of the hackathon, devoting his speech to the topical topic – “NI-Hackathon – the format of commercialization of science”.
Vice-President of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP Saken Shayakhmetov presented the report “NI-Hackathon – prospects for the development of Kazakhmys for 2024-2025” to the participants.
Oleg Metsik, a specialist in the field of forced forecasting, head of the Atlas of New Professions in the Oil and Gas, Energy and Metallurgical Industries project, acted as moderator of the NI-Hackathon.
The hackathon was attended by 30 representatives of Kazakhstani research institutes and universities together with 15 experts of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, among whom a worthy place was taken by a representative of the Abylkas Saginov University – Head of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies, PhD, associate Professor Altynarai Takibayeva.
The hackathon is held in six working groups, each of which will focus on a specific topic.
Altynarai Takibayeva took part in the work of the 1st group of the scientific team together with Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, head of the laboratory. Pyrometallurgy of Heavy non-ferrous Metals JSC “Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment” Sergey Kvyatkovsky; PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Metallurgy and Enrichment of Satpaev University Igor Motovilov; PhD, Leading researcher of JSC “Institute of Metallurgy and Enrichment” Dulatbek Turysbekov; PhD, Associate Professor of D. Serikbayev EKTU Meruert Adilkhanova. The moderator of the team of the scientific group was Gulnar Katkeeva, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Head of the Research Department of the Enrichment Department of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP.
