The competition is held annually among students, undergraduates, postgraduates and researchers of educational institutions of higher education and scientific organizations under the age of 35
The founders of the Competition are the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent), the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property” (RGAIS) and the Eurasian Patent Office (EAGTV).
The competition is held in order to:
- develop and integrate educational and scientific activities in the field of intellectual property
- promoting the professional growth of young people in the field of intellectual property
In 2024, the International Competition of Young Scientists in the field of intellectual property “Intellect” is held in four stages:
- stage 1 – registration and acceptance of applications (from 02/01/2024 to 10/31/2024)
- Stage 2 — correspondence examination of scientific projects (from 01.11.2024 to 11/30/2024)
- Stage 3 – posting information on the website about the candidates selected to participate in the final of the Competition, the final of the Competition is the defense of scientific papers in the format of a presentation (until 12/15/2024)
- Stage 4 – awarding of the winners of the competition at the Board of Rospatent (February-March 2025)
The winners of the Competition are the contestants who were awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. The winners of the Competition are the contestants who took 4th, 5th and 6th places
The winners of the Competition are awarded a cash prize in the amount of 80,000 to 150,000 rubles. Winners and prize-winners receive a certificate for educational programs implemented by RGAIS (50% discount on tuition)
