Head of the department of «Foreign Languages», associate professor Damira Dzhantassova has successfully completed the first two modules of the program «Academic Leadership Institute: Deans’ School». It was organized the committee for higher and postgraduate education of the ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan with the aim of preparing a personnel reserve of leaders of Kazakhstan universities. This program is designed for the period from September to December 2024 and is implemented on the basis of Nazarbayev university and the International Kazakh-Turkish university named after A. Yassawi.

The first two modules were devoted to the issues of quality management in education and academic innovations in education. New knowledge was obtained related to the development of standards for training specialists taking into account transnational research, the use of a proactive approach with annual monitoring of the EP, automated constructive alignment of the EP and evaluation of the EP by the student contingent.

Particular interest was the issue of quality control and the introduction of the concept of quality culture. Here it was important to maintain a balance through communication (bottom-up), participation and trust of all interested stakeholders. Today, important indicators of quality in the development of the EP and quality management are collegiality of decision-making, benchmarking of the EP at the international level and the involvement of foreign stakeholders.

Currently, research and training of specialists are impossible without the use of AI. Therefore, in the second module, such tasks as eliminating AI hallucinations, criticizing AI, and applying mechanisms for detecting plagiarism when using AI were presented for solution. The most pressing issue was the issue of compliance with ethical standards in education and equality of students and teachers in the use of AI.

We look forward to the next modules and wish you success. Damira Dulatovna in further participation in the ongoing program for training a personnel reserve of leaders of Kazakhstan universities.
