In the second ten days of September, the NPA federation’s «Altyn Batyr» world cup in powerlifting and strength sports was held in Karaganda. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Poland, Turkey, India and others took part in it.
Among the athletes from Kazakhstan were also students from the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. We have already reported that one of them Nikita Mogilnikov (group GAK-22-2), became the champion in his weight category. As it turned out, another of our students, Magaz Adai (group ISS-21-6), age group 20-23 years in the weight category up to 100 kg. was also recognized as the best.
In the deadlift discipline without equipment, he won with a result of 180 kg. In many ways, Aday believes, he owes his sporting achievements to his father, Arzymbetov M., who did a lot to introduce his son to sports.
