As per tradition, on Knowledge Day, a meeting was held at the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov with first-year students. It is always conducted in such a way that it leaves a lasting impression on the students who have chosen to study at our university, which has earned a well-deserved reputation.
The first-year students and their families, gathered for their first assembly, were greeted by a festively decorated square in front of the university’s main building. On the stage next to the main building’s entrance stood the university’s leadership, headed by the Chairperson of the Board – the Rector of the university, S. S. Sagintayeva, along with honored guests.
The solemn ceremony for welcoming the first-year students began with the laying of flowers at the monument of Academician A. S. Saginov, after whom our university is named.
Following the flag-raising ceremony and the performance of the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Chairperson of the Board – Rector of Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, Doctor of Economics S. S. Sagintayeva, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Warmly congratulating them on the beginning of their studies at the technical university, she emphasized that we are ranked among the top five technical universities in the country. This year, 2,442 first-year students will begin their studies here.
