Young people of the Karaganda region aged 15-21 took part in the competition. In total, 40 people took part in the XVIII reading competition «Uly Khalyktyn – Uly Abayy». During the event, all participants recited the poems of the great poet by heart in front of the jury and spectators who evaluated the competition. The jury assessed the participants according to the terms of the competition, selected the competition winners and determined the winners.
As a result of the competition, Tolganay Akhmetova (Associate Professor K.M. Khamzina), a student of the SIB-22-2 group of the Faculty of Innovative Technologies of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abilkas Saginov, received a II degree diploma from the Department of Culture, Archives and Documentation of the Karaganda region and a special financial award.
