The other day, the Rector of Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University Yuri Sergeyevich Borovikov visited Abylkas Saginov KTU.
Yaroslav the Wise Novgorod State University (NovSU) is a Russian higher education institution located in Veliky Novgorod. It is the largest state education institution in the Novgorod region. It was formed in 1993 by merging the Novgorod Polytechnic Institute and the Novgorod State Pedagogical Institute. A little later, the Novgorod Agricultural Academy also joined it. Today, it has more than 12 thousand students, including about 1 thousand foreigners from 62 countries.
As it turned out, Novgorod State University and our University have a rich history of development and training of personnel for leading industries: mining and mechanical engineering enterprises, transport and construction. It is not surprising that Chairman of the Board, Rector of Abylkas Saginov KTU, S.S. Sagintayeva, Member of the Board, Vice-Rector for Educational Work A.K. Kalykov, and the other representatives of our University understood each other as old acquaintances. After all, they had common educational and scientific interests.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the goals and objectives of both Universities, identified possible areas for further cooperation and exchange of experience.
Having thanked the University administration for the warm welcome, Rector of Novgorod State University Yu.S. Borovikov expressed confidence that the cooperation between the Universities that was initiated by this meeting, would continue and develop.
