In connection with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, August 10 was designated Abai Day, in connection with this, on August 05, 2024, the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, acting head of the Department of Kazakh Language and Culture, Ph.D., Associate Professor Khamzina K. M. and the staff of the department, organized the republican video contest «Abai-dana, Abai-dara kazakhta»
The purpose of the competition is to introduce the works of the great genius poet Abai Kunanbayev. To instill morality, hard work, honesty through teaching poetry and sayings of the poet. To increase the craving of language learners for knowledge. Practice on creating a high-quality video.
The following universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the competition:

- NAO «D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University»;
- NAO «L. Gumilev Eurasian National University»;
- NAO «Medical University of Karaganda»;
