On December 7, 2023, a meeting was held at the Department of Electric Power Engineering between 1st and 2nd year students of the OP Thermal Power Engineering with representatives of Karaganda Energy Center LLP. Karaganda Energy Center LLP is the only centralized supplier of thermal energy, as well as the largest supplier of electricity in the city of Karaganda. The Company’s structure includes 2 thermal power plants: CHPP-1 and CHPP-3. The purpose of such an event is to introduce the company as a potential employer, to inform about employment opportunities and work characteristics of students studying in the Thermal Power Engineering program. Representatives of Karaganda Energy Center LLP told future graduates about employment opportunities and the specifics of working at a thermal power plant. During the meeting, students received comprehensive information about in-demand specialties, working conditions, career opportunities and additional guarantees for young professionals. Many graduates of our department join the ranks of enterprise employees, starting with blue-collar positions and confidently moving to management positions.
