On February 9, 2024, a round table was held on the topic “Climate change and energy transition planning in the Karaganda region”. The event was held at the Eco Museum with the support of the UK government. The meeting was attended by the Second Secretary for Climate and Green Transition of the British Embassy in Astana, Kirri Hendriksen, as well as Dr. Andala Alam, Advisor on Climate Change at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth Affairs and Development of the United Kingdom. The Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov was represented by N. M. Malikov, a lecturer at the Department of Energy Systems, who took part in the discussion of topical problematic issues.
