On September 7, representatives of the US Embassy Colin Gard – Attache for Culture and Education, Ainur Sembayeva – coordinator of graduate programs, Emmett Cashman – Fullbright (English teaching assistant) scholarship holder, visited Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University. The meeting was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Board-Rector Ibatov Marat Kenesovich, during which the work plan of the scholarship program at the University was discussed, as well as representatives of the embassy were familiarized with the main activities of the university.
The J. William Fulbright Program was founded in 1946 to promote mutual understanding between the American people and people from around the world. Today, the Fulbright program is one of the most recognized and prestigious programs in the world.
In the period from September 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024, Emmet Cashman will serve as an English teacher at the Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University, free courses for students and training seminars for teachers will also be held.
