Scientific activity of the department

Scientific supervisor – prof., Ph.D. Obukhov Yu.D.

Title of the topic: “Substantiation and research of the most effective method of reducing and phasing out emissions into the environment from the tailings dumps of Zhezkazgan processing plants 1, 2, 3”.

Basis for execution: contract № P1 100036271 (20.19.01) dated 30.07.2020. The deadline is December 31, 2021. The total amount of the project is 56 million tenge.

Main results: laboratory studies of the state of the environment at the tailings dumps were carried out. The best ways to reduce emissions into the environment have been selected. Pilot-industrial tests of reagents at tailings were carried out. It is recommended to use the selected reagents to gradually reduce and eliminate emissions into the environment from tailings dumps.

Scientific supervisor – Doctor of Technical Sciences Emelin P.V.

Name of the topic: “Development of methods for assessing occupational safety based on multivariate analysis and modeling at chemically hazardous facilities in Kazakhstan”.

Basis for execution: contract № 191/36-21-23 for grant funding from 04/15/2021

Main results: the main modules of the information and analytical system on accidents, occupational injuries and occupational morbidity at chemically hazardous facilities of the Republic of Kazakhstan have been developed.

Scientific supervisor – acting associate Professor, PhD Suimbayeva A.M.

Name of the topic: “Development of effective technological schemes for the extraction of low-power deposits, ensuring a reduction in ore dilution, taking into account the geomechanical state of the rock mass.”

Basis for execution: contract №156/ZHG-1-22-24 for grant funding of young scientists under the project “Zhas Galym” dated 21.06.2022. The deadline is December 31, 2024. The total amount of the project is 18977758 tenge.

Main results: an analytical reference of the rating classifications of rock massifs has been compiled; the most effectively used rating indicators of resistance to the mining and geological conditions of the Zholymbet deposit and the zoning of the field sites by the category of stability have been substantiated. A geotechnical block model has been created to assess the geomechanical state of the rock mass around the treatment unit, taking into account the influence of the quality of blasting operations and the geological strength index.
