On April 12, 2022, the Department of Russian Language and Culture of the Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov held a competition of readers “Kazakhstan – the golden cradle of peoples,” dedicated to the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.
Organizers of the competition of readers: Head. Department of RKiK Ph.D., Associate Professor Ospanova BR, teachers: Ten A.V., Tsoi K.P. The goals and objectives of the competition: the education of Kazakhstani patriotism by consolidating the ethnic groups of Kazakhstan; the upbringing of literary and artistic taste; intensifying public speaking skills; preservation and development of students’ creative potential; introducing students to the moral and spiritual and cultural values of society.
The reading competition was held in full-time. The competition was attended by 80-100 students of 1 and 3 courses with the state language of instruction. During the competitive test, the participants performed by heart poetic works about Kazakhstan, friendship, unity and solidarity of peoples, as well as author’s works on the proposed topic.
Assessment of the performances of the participants of the competition was carried out by members of the jury: A.Yu. Kishenova, S.A. Ivanova, L.B. Akisheva, A.V. Ten, K.P. Tsoi
Performances were evaluated according to the following criteria:
- Technique and expressiveness of speech.
- Knowledge and understanding of the text.
- Speech literacy.
- Performing prowess.
- Consistency of speech and plastic.
The prizes were distributed as follows:
Winners who took part in the competition in the state language:
1st place – Serikbai Alinur, student of the AiU-21-2 group.
2nd place – Yesenova Zhannұr, student of the VSU-19-1 group.
3rd place – Akylbekova Azhar, student of the GD-21-1 group.
Winners who participated in the competition in Russian:
1st place – Әuyelkhan Maral, student of the TsAF-21-2 group.
2nd place – Islam Aruzhan, student of the HTOV group – 21-1.
3rd place – Zhakishova Sabina, student of the CAF group – 21-1.
Winners who performed musical numbers:
1st place – Amanjol Ernat, student of the AiU-21-1 group.
2nd place – Bolatov Alikhan, student of the OP-21-1s group.
3rd place – Қayyr Maғzhan, student of the GD-21-1 group.
The celebration of the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan is a celebration that brings together all the nationalities and ethnic groups of the country. The contest of readers “Kazakhstan is the golden cradle of peoples” helped the participants to feel that the holiday of spring and unity will be imbued with the spirit of solidarity of peoples, that we all value friendship and tolerance, and also made it possible to remember the cultural heritage of Kazakhstan, learn more about national traditions and traditions of other peoples.
