Dear colleagues!
From 06 to 21 December 2021 within the framework of international cooperation the Belarusian State University (BSU) and the Ivanovo State Power Engineering University named after V.I. Lenin (IGEU) with the participation of the Department of Russian Language and Culture of Karaganda Technical University (KARTU) under the leadership of B.R. Ospanova are holding an International video Presentation Competition 3 Minute Thesis (3MT).
The competition is held on research topics in various fields of knowledge of students from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan and is a competition of bachelors in the application of skills and abilities of oral academic foreign and Russian languages.
The main task of the participants is to present their work (video presentation) in 3 minutes using only one slide.
Objectives of the competition:
- improving academic oral communication skills in foreign and Russian languages;
- development of critical thinking skills and creative potential of future specialists.
Students of non-linguistic universities can take part in the Competition. Presentations made individually are accepted for participation in the competition, i.e. one participant provides one presentation for the competition.
The performances of the participants are recorded on video for subsequent evaluation by an expert commission, including university teachers-organizers.
Evaluation criteria
- logic and structure of the video presentation;
- compliance with grammatical, lexical and pronunciation norms;
- poster design.
Terms of the competition:
- 12. – 15.12.21 – holding of competitive events;
- 12–- 20.12.21- expert evaluation of performances by the competition commission;
- December 21, 2021 – announcement of the results of the competition.
