On November 16, 2021, teachers of the Department of Russian Language and Culture held the event “Literary Living Room” on the theme “Dostoevsky and Valikhanov: Dialogue of Cultures,” dedicated to the 200th anniversary of F.M. Dostoevsky.
Responsible teachers: Head of the Department of Ospanov B.R., Tajibaeva S.M., Kabanova A.B., Baimamyrov S.A.
The remote (on-line) form of participation in the event on the Microsoft Teams platform (code – x1kymaz) allowed to reach more than 100 participants from among the freshmen students of KarTU.
In the course of the event, teachers set the following goals:
- Training:
– introduction of students to spiritual values through understanding the creative heritage of F.M. Dostoevsky and Ch. Ch. Valikhanov;
– intensification of creative imagination of students, their desire to be involved in the national and world artistic tradition;
- Developing:
– develop research skills of students: use reference, memoir, documentary literature; analyse and synthesize information, draw conclusions;
– To develop oral speech skills, creative abilities and critical thinking of students;
- Educational:
– Strengthening of universal human and moral and spiritual values;
– consolidation and addition of students’ knowledge about the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
The main tasks of the event should include:
– development of communication skills of trainees;
– broadening the discourse of students, interest in the study of languages, the history of their country;
– Education of patriotism through the study of the literary heritage of the people; involving students in socially useful activities, in strengthening the spiritual and moral values of “Mәңgіlіk El” and “Rouhani zhaңғyru.”
Compositionally, the event consisted of two parts:
1) Information part, including a video about the biography of F.M. Dostoevsky; material on the creative relationship, friendship and correspondence of F.M. Dostoevsky and Ch. Ch. Valikhanov, which was prepared by students:
– Rakhymbekova Moldur, a student of gr. EE-21-3, spoke about the creative relationship between Fedor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky and Chokan Valikhanov.
– Orakbaev Merzhan, a student of gr. EE-21-3, introduced the participants of the event to the correspondence of F.M. Dostoevsky and Ch.Ch. Valikhanov.
– Satimbekov Yerbolat, student of gr. EE-21-3 Made a presentation “Friendship of Fyodor Dostoevsky and Chokan Valikhanov raised relations between Russians and Kazakhs to a spiritually meaningful height.”
2) The practical part, which consisted of the literary quiz “Dostoevsky and Valikhanov: Dialogue of Cultures,” which included 22 questions on previously proposed blocks:
- The life and work of F.M. Dostoevsky.
- Life and activity of C. Valikhanov
- Friendship of F.M. Dostoevsky and Ch.Ch. Valikhanov
Students who took an active part in the event and gave a large number of correct answers in the quiz were awarded diplomas and diplomas:
Diploma of the 1st degree awarded: student gr. EE-21-3 Toleuova Alua (head of Tajibaeva S.M.)
Diploma of 2 degrees received: student gr. EE-21-3 Orakbaev Merzhan (head of Baimamyrov S.A.) and student gr. EE-21-3 Satimbekov Yerbolat (head of Ten A.V.)
The diploma 3 degrees – the student гр. Rakhymbekov’s EE-21-3 Mold_r (head Z.K. Seydakhmetova.), the student gr.IS-21-1 Нұржігіт Shouted (the head Zh.A. Azimbayeva.) and student gr.MB-21-1 (head A.B. Kabanova)
Students were awarded letters for active participation in the Literary Drawing Room: Rakhymbekova Moldir (gr. EE-21-3), Orakbaev Merzhan (gr. EE-21-3), Satimbekov Yerbolat (gr. EE-21-3).
Students who took part in the event got acquainted with the life and creativity of unusually gifted and talented personalities who fervently love their Homeland, their people. Completely different at first glance people Ch. Valikhanov and F. Dostoevsky, connected – humanism, love for the Motherland, the desire for knowledge and self-knowledge. The meaning of life for them was serving the people.
Dostoevsky’s friendship with Valikhanov is one of the excellent evidence of the historical friendship of the Russian and Kazakh peoples.
The spiritual heritage that C.Ch. Valikhanov and F.M. Dostoevsky left us is so great and capacious that more than one generation was brought up, and will be brought up on their works, thereby enriching themselves and building up their spiritual and moral potential.
