The Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) presented the results of the ranking of the best universities in Kazakhstan-2021, which is based on international ranking standards for higher education institutions.
This year the national ranking of the best universities in Kazakhstan is held by the IQAA-ranking agency for the thirteenth time. In connection with the transition of higher educational institutions to distance learning, the updating of the classifier of educational programs for higher and postgraduate education, at the suggestion of universities, some changes were introduced into the assessment methodology. In particular, additional criteria were introduced “LMS platforms”, “External educational platforms with which the university has an agreement to train students”, “The number of massive open online courses (MOOCs)”, “The share of new and innovative programs “,” English taught programs”. Also, this year, the method of submitting information by universities to the agency was implemented in electronic form.
According to the results of the rating of the best universities in Kazakhstan-2021 (IQAA), Karaganda Technical University confirmed the high level of training of competitive specialists, highly qualified teaching staff, international recognition and effective policy of the university development strategy and took 2nd place among technical universities in Kazakhstan behind Satbayev University.
