On 7 April 2021, Department of Higher Mathematics of Karaganda Technical University held 1-st (selection) round of the Republican Student Subject Olympiad in Mathematics, dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the outstanding public figure, scientist, professor of mathematics Alimkhan Abeuovich Yermekov among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The objectives of the Olympiad are: identification and development of students’ creative abilities and interest in research activities; creating conditions for the support of the most talented and gifted students; dissemination and popularization of scientific knowledge among young people.
The selection round of the Olympiad is conducted in the format of on-line-testing on the Moodle platform during the period 14:00-17:00. The time for taking the test is 2 hours. According to the results of registration 188 students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan will take part in the selection round of the Olympiad.
Students who will get maximum number of points according to results of selection round will get invitation letters from 11.04.2021 to 13.04.2021 to take part in the main round of the Olympiad.
The main round of the Olympiad will be held on 14 April 2021.
