According to the loan agreement between the Karaganda State Technical University of KSTU and the emergency management Department of the city of Karaganda, students of BZHD-19 -1.2 KAZ. groups of the Department “Mining aerology and labor protection” of KSTU together with their curators N. A. Medeubaev and B. K. Makashev participated in conducting propaganda work among citizens on the prevention of spring flood situations.
This is due to the implementation of the message of the President of Kazakhstan Tokayev Kasym-Jomart Kemelovich, related to the fact that 2020 is declared the year of volunteers.
These works were carried out jointly with specialists of the emergency management Department, during students ‘ extra-curricular hours, on their own initiative.
Thanks to such joint activities, students of the specialty “BZH and ZOS” awaken a messenger interest in their future profession, as well as they will gain practical experience in organizing and conducting preventive and protective measures in emergency situations.
In the future, such joint work will continue not only on flood control, but also on other issues in the region, in particular: fire safety, sanitary conditions of the city and other measures. Of course, all this is on a volunteer basis.
