From 22 to 24 August 2019, Almaty hosted the world championship in hand-to-hand combat.
The tournament brought together wrestlers from Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan and Belarus. About two hundred athletes from 14 years to 21 years showed the art of hand-to-hand combat. From Karaganda region 14 athletes participated in the world championship, one of them is a student of the BZhD 18-2 group Slambek Yerkebulan who took the third place!
