Aim: the formation of a person, able to active and effective life in a multinational and multicultural environment.
Objectives:
- Bring up a sense of understanding and respect for other cultures, ability to live in peace and harmony with people of different nationalities;
- Formation of the desire to improve knowledge of Russian and foreign languages;
- Develop students ‘ presentation skills;
- To prepare students for life in a multiethnic society.
In relation to the fact that our state adopted a new concept of education, teachers of the Department “Russian language and speech culture” build up their teaching activity focusing primarily on the education of the polycultural personality. In this regard, the subject organized by the department of the Round table was selected in this direction.
Teachers of the department Tungyshbayeva B.K., Tazhibayeva S.M., Azimbayeva Zh.A., Aldynazarova R.M. were responsible to organize and hold the event. Students of four groups: GD-17-5, S-17-3, EE-17-1, GPR-16-2.
The head of the Department, Associate Professor, Candidate of Philological Sciences Osspanova B.R. delivered a welcoming speech before the participants of the Round table. After that, the moderator of the Round table lecturer Tungyshbaeva B.K. was made a small introduction:
The nation is the fusion of different ethnicities living on one territory. Citizens living in Austria, we call Austrians, in Belgium – the Belgians, however, remember that there is such nationality as Tyroleans, Flemish, etc.
Also citizens living on the territory of Kazakhstan can and should be called Kazakhstan people, regardless of which nation or nationalities they belong to.
In today’s world there is no country whose citizens would be members of the same ethnic group. More and more people immigrate and emigrate. Reasons for moving to another country are different: education, work, marriage. In addition to the powers with the high level of immigration, there are also states, ethnic composition of which has evolved over many centuries, such as: The USA, Russia, Kazakhstan etc. In such countries, the cultural differences between different nationalities are quite deep, despite the fact that their representatives live within the borders of one state.
Inter-ethnic and inter-ethnic conflicts only in one individual of the XX century has brought to mankind a lot of troubles. And in our century, the century of total tolerance, total information freedom and accessibility of education intolerance of other cultures and traditions occurs paradoxically.
