On 24 October 2017, a seminar for students of the Karaganda region on the created conditions for young people and their socio-economic protection by state was held in Youth Palace “Zhastar alemi” of KSTU.
The aim of the workshop was the need to acquaint the students with their right to employment, affordable housing and opportunities to engage in entrepreneurial activities and promotion of student union movement in the Karaganda region.
The seminar was organized by the Youth Council «Keleshek» of the Territorial Association of trade unions “Trade Union center in Karaganda region”, in cooperation with the Council of Youth Affairs of “Karaganda regional organization of the Kazakhstan branch of the Workers Trade Union of education and science”, KSU “Youth resource center of Karaganda” and Karaganda State Technical University.
The seminar was attended by students of universities and colleges of Karaganda region (KSTU, KEU, KSMU, Abay Saran Humanitarian and Technical College, Temirtau Polytechnic College, Medical College).
In the speech to the students of Acting Director of KSU “Youth resource center of Karaganda” Alena Fribus, drew attention to the existence of a number of government programs aimed at supporting young people and providing youth the opportunity to participate in various projects, including informational.
Chairman of the Youth Council «Keleshek» of the Territorial Association of trade unions “Trade Union center in Karaganda region” Daria Khamitzhanova explained to students the concept of “Union”, “Labour contract”, “Labor law” and the need for active participation in state programs and effective use provided by the state for students. Also the students were shown a video about the origin and history of the Trade Union movement in Kazakhstan.
Head of business development of “Zhilstroysberbank of Kazakhstan” KF JSC Ainur Suleimenova announced a number of opportunities given to young people on “Terms of the housing program “Nurly zher”. Specialist of CSC, consultant in the Karaganda region “Entrepreneurship development Fund “Damu” Gaukhar Koibagarova provided information about “Terms of lending business in the framework of the development of productive employment and mass entrepreneurship”.
The students expressed a sincere interest in the various aspects presented by the speakers.
