5 April 2017, a festive program dedicated to Geologist’s Day was held at Palace of Youth “Zhastar Alemi”. The meeting was attended by representatives of the teaching staff of KSTU and large industrial enterprises of the region. Talented students of the Mining faculty have delighted guests with a bright concert program.
Chief researcher of “IPKON” LLP P.V. Ermolov; acting head of MD “Tsentrkaznedra” B.G. Mussiyeva; President of “Tsentrgeologos’emka” LLP Kh.K. Issmailov and employees of the organization R.M. Antonyuk and G.K. Salimova, Director of “Karaganda engineering consortium” LLP B.M. Kenzhin; Director of “Azimuth Geology” LLP R.K. Mustafin, and other prominent representatives of the industrial sector in the region attended the event.
Vice-rector for Research Sergey Georgievich Ozhigin said: “Geology is a special world and geologists are special people. We work with the bowels of the earth not only in order to get something from it. We are developing our plans to ensure that its reserves are not depleted and, at the same time, people could live comfortably, using its generosity. Therefore, I appeal to our students: carry proudly the banner of the graduates of the Mining faculty of KSTU, do not drop the dignity of the faculty, work for the glory of the country and our University”.
The priority of the Geology for our region is almost impossible to overestimate. That is why such an event is extremely important.
