First Vice-rector of KSTU, doctor of technical Sciences, Professor, academician of KazNAU, National Academy of Sciences MSC, MAIN Issagulov A. Z. and fourth-year student of engineering faculty, specialty “Metallurgy” Nassenov T.E. became laureates of the National industry award “Golden Hephaestus” in the nomination “Scientist-teacher of the year” and “Thesis of the year”.
Thus, the advantage and deservedly won 2 awards out of 12 nominations from our winners. The winners received a statuette “Golden Hephaestus” and cash prizes.
As you know, the University joined the 10 main universities of Kazakhstan for training for SPIID-2 (direction: “Mining”, “Metallurgy”, “engineering”, the industrialization Map in Karaganda region in 2015-2019.).
Therefore, a vast array of professionals in the emergence of the University, the winners of prestigious awards natural. For example, Professor Isagulov A. Z. received the award for development and introduction into production of innovative 4 processes (precision casting, technology of wear-resistant materials of new generation for the production of parts of the mining and metallurgical sector and machinery for the manufacture of steel, cast iron and nonferrous castings, which is implemented in 10 industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan.
Student Nassenov T.E. won the award thanks to his thesis on “Investigation of properties of high-temperature alloys of the system Fe – Cr – Ni”.
Prize “Golden Hephaestus” was established to celebrate leaders in the industry and to popularize the achievements of Kazakh companies in society. In terms of total production of solid minerals of Kazakhstan occupies the 13th place in the world among 70 mining States. The percentage of MMC in Kazakhstan’s GDP is more than 11 percent. GMK – city-forming industry, which is the basis of industrialization of the country, because the employees userspublicrecorded worthy of recognition!
The prize “Golden Hephaestus” – the only professional award, established by the Ministry for investment and development of Kazakhstan in 2010, with the permanent support of the company ERG.
This year the Competition was held for the 7th time, and honouring the winners was held at the gala reception AMM 2016, June 15 in Astana. On this day, the organizers, the Kazakhstani exhibition company Iteca, arranged a real feast for the winners and nominees, which invited the top three in all categories.
“Golden Hephaestus” receive professionals, companies and projects, journalists, teachers who share a high sense of responsibility, professionalism, pioneering spirit, which is the key to success of Kazakhstan MMC.
Every year the Competition involved more than 186 nominees from all over Kazakhstan. Among the regular participants, the employees of companies “Kazzinc”, “KSP Steel”, “Evraz Caspian Steel”, Kazchrome, “Kazakhmys” and many others.
