Centre for engineering pedagogy the University received a certificate of international accreditation Internationale Gesellschaft für Ingenieurpädagogik (IGIP) and the status of the Regional centre of the International society for engineering education.
IGIP is one of the authoritative international organizations in the field of higher technical education, which has Advisory status with UNESCO and UNIDO.
KSTU became the second Kazakhstani institution of higher education that has entered the group of leading world higher education institutions on modernization of engineering education. This gives teachers the right to claim the title of “international teacher of engineering of the University”.
In the period from 2014-2016 through the Center of engineering pedagogics of the University have been training on the organization of educational process in the conditions of the dual training 387 teachers. Teaching staff of the University began implementation of dual training with a clear understanding and sustainable motivation on the training of personnel competent in the requirements of employers in the framework of the SP IID-2.
On the basis of Innovative-educational consortium “Corporate University” for the first time in the Republic of Kazakhstan, to strengthen practical training of students, really managed to integrate the elements of the dual training in the educational process in higher technical education. For the realization of this idea were involved: 86 backbone enterprises of mining-metallurgical complex; 6 Centres of working professions (engineering, Mining equipment, Construction machinery, Transport, telecommunications, Energy); Training center “welding”; 60 branches of the graduating departments at specialized enterprises of the Corporate University. In the process of interaction with companies on the basis of modern equipment, licensed software and international standards are: the national Center “KSTU – Festo-synergy” together with the concern “FESTO” (Austria, Germany); Authorized training Center “KSTU – Schneider electric” together with the Corporation “Schneider Electric” (France); Kazakh – Swiss center of laser of the geo-scan, together with the Corporation “Leica Geosystems” (Switzerland); Training center “Mitsubishi” (Japan); the Kazakhstan Institute of welding in collaboration with corporations “TOTAL” (France) and “ERSAI” (Italy).
Implementation of technologies of dual education has enabled a constructive partnership between the University and employers, on which depends the quality and competitiveness of vocational education, the effectiveness of its modernization.
