From February 25 – March 4 held IX – Regional Olympics among students for the prizes of Akim of Karaganda region. Sports day was held in 15 sports, it was attended by 9 universities.
First team place – KSTU – 224 points.
The second place team – KSTU – 196 points.
The third place team – KSMU – 183 points.
Fourth place – CPP – 162 points.
These 4 Universities and set the tone for the Games. KSTU won in three sports: 1. Sports dancing; 2. N / tennis; 3. Togyz Kumalak.
Second place: 1. Checkers; 2. Fighting (kazakshakures); 3. Ski Relay; 4 Winter Presidential all-round; 5. L / lifting.
Third place: 1. Skates; 2. Volleyball (men); 3. Chess; 4. Basketball (men).
