Anniversary of Abay in the Karaganda state technical University
The celebration of the 175th anniversary of Abay Kunanbayuly is one of the most important events in the modern history of independent Kazakhstan, aimed at deepening the historical consciousness of the people and promoting the spiritual culture of the country in a global format.
On January 28, the Department of Economics organized a book exhibition dedicated to the legacy of the great Abay Kunanbayev.
Venue: library of the main building of the Omsk state pedagogical University.
The purpose of the exhibition: to popularize the works of the great thinker in every possible way, to acquaint readers with the literary heritage of Abay Kunanbayev.
Expected result: increase interest in the work of Abay Kunanbayev.
The exhibition was opened by the library Director Seremina Elvira Vladimirovna, who introduced readers to the books that are available in the library: “Abay is a person of world importance. Any work of a great thinker and poet makes us think, opens our eyes to the world around us. Abay’s works do not lose their relevance at all times. Today, our readers have the opportunity to touch the world of Abay.”
Abay’s “words of instruction” translated into Russian aroused great interest among the visitors of the exhibition.
The exhibition was attended by senior lecturer of Raik Karaganda state technical University Azimbaeva Zhanat S. A., which on behalf of the Department handed donated to the library several copies of the collected works of the great philosopher Abai.
