On February 27-28, Abylkas Saginov Karaganda Technical University opened its doors to school and college graduates by hosting Open Days.
On the first day, graduates from the city of Karaganda participated, while on the following day, students from other regions of the Karaganda region attended the event. The graduates were given a unique opportunity to learn about the prospects of studying and developing at one of the country’s leading technical universities.
The Open Day began with a career exhibition set up in the foyer at the entrance to the university’s main building. Thanks to this exhibition, visitors gained a general understanding of the university and its educational programs. Faculties and departments did an excellent job of showcasing their offerings, using working models, equipment, and prototypes to provide detailed information on their programs.
The first Open Day was officially opened by Board Member – Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digitalization T. Kanapiyanov, who, on behalf of the university administration, expressed gratitude to all participants for their active involvement in this traditional event.
- Today, Abylkas Saginov KarTU is rightfully considered one of the leading technical universities in the country, – he stated. – Ranked in the TOP 851+ worldwide, our university has all the necessary resources to train highly qualified and competitive specialists.
Participants were also warmly welcomed by the Chief Specialist of the Department for Intersectoral Coordination and Youth Policy Development of the Karaganda Region, Zh. Khamitov, and the Director of the Marketing and PR Department of KarTU, A. Kasymzhanova.
On the second day, guests gathered in the auditorium were greeted by Board Member – Vice-Rector for Social and Educational Work, A. Kalykov. Among the university’s partners present at the event was a representative of “KAZ Minerals,” a KarTU graduate, Zh. Zhumashov.
Throughout both days, the Head of the Marketing and Career Guidance Department, N. Aitbayev, provided comprehensive information about the university, its developed infrastructure, a wide range of educational programs, academic mobility, international and domestic partnerships, the military department, preparatory courses for the UNT, and admission rules. He also highlighted the university’s cultural and sports life.
Between speeches and the presentation of letters of appreciation from the Chairperson of the Board – Rector of KarTU, S. Sagintayeva, student activists from the youth association “Jas Orda” delighted the audience with musical performances, an energetic flash mob, and engaging games, creating an unforgettable festive atmosphere at the Open Day. It is also worth noting that in academics, Saginov Jastary continue to make their mentors proud, consistently winning top prizes in inter-university and international competitions and Olympiads.
Thanks to the efforts of the Marketing and PR Department, faculties, and university departments, the Open Day became a platform where every participant not only received essential information about admission to Abylkas Saginov KarTU but also got a glimpse into the vibrant student life. Attendees had the opportunity to connect with students, learn more about university activities, and get contacts for further consultations.
